Joni and I ended up staying in El Cajon in a smoky Motel 6. Because it was the weekend of the 4th everything was sold out- or very expensive. The room smelled horrible, but luckily I was able to get used to it after a little bit. We both slept on a Queen bed- but seemed more like a full, and Niko joined us. Never the less saying the sleep was bad, and the pillows were horrible. What can you except though?
We went to the San Diego Zoo. My favorites were the Pandas, (who we just saw from the bus, the line was super long) Polar bears, Elephants, Flamingos, Zebras and Gorillas.

After the Zoo we took a Ferry to Coronado.
View on the freeway to Downtown San Diego.
We parked next to this old Naval ship. It was huge!

We ended the night with a drive to the San Diego Temple. We took the 805, instead of the 5, so it took us awhile.

The pictures of the temple at night turned out absolutely amazing!
Okay, so after checking I don't know if we can go to the movie opening night. I guess it selling out every where...Maybe we can just plan to go after the new-ness dies down! Or we can plan to do something else fun?!
Paul and Shane are going to Vegas in August...we need to plan something then too! I'll actually have a car, and we can do something by your house. =)
