One nice thing about my job, is that I get 6 weeks off every summer. I now have my summer planned out, The first week I might work a little bit (0-10 hours) and relax. Second week, no plans except for sleeping in. Week three I am going on a Singles Cruise to Mexico with Joni... hope all the swine flu is all done by then. And lastly I am spending weeks 4-7 working as a camp councilor at a local summer camp for kids with disablities. I am SO excited!

St Louis: Sunday
We started our Easter Sunday with attending Easter Mass at the Cathedral Basilica. I have always wanted to attend a mass and it was very interested. We definitely felt out of our element though! The building is just amazing, with 41.5 million mosaic tiles covering 83,000 square feet, making it the largest Mosaic collection in the world. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures here.
Next, Amy and I went to the Arch. It was a lot of fun and an amazing view! Here are pictures at the Arch and Mississippi river.
Here is a barge carrying a house. Interesting.
After we went back to thier apartment and dyed easter eggs.

St Louis: Saturday
I guess all the fountains in St Louis are orange because it's safety month.
Next we went to the St. Louis Zoo.
After we went to the zoo's we grabbed lunch at Hardee's (did you all know that this is now Carl's Jr here? I had no idea) Then we drove to the LDS temple, which was about 25 minutes from Amy and Elliots' apartment.

St Louis: Friday
For spring break I went to go visit my friend Amy and her husband Elliot. They moved to St Louis about a year ago for Elliot to go to Med School. It was such a fun trip and I took A LOT of pictures, so to keep the posts short, I will only post my favorites. They live in a high rise apartment building on the 15th floor, with a doorman, ancient elevator and a doorman. On Thursday night it was so different going to bed in the "city", it was so bright and loud. This was the view I woke up to on a foggy/rainy Friday morning.
We drove around downtown, went to the old library. One of my favorite things about St Louis is the old builidings! This picture is from the main hall in the library.

Catch Up
So I was looking at my blog and realized that I hadn't blogged in over a month. Nothing really exciting has been happening lately but I wanted to share a couple things that I have done in the past month.
#1. I got Internet at home! I have been without it for about 3 months. Its so nice to have reliable Internet for the first time.
#2. I have a new roomie. Her name is Leslie. She's been here for a week and a half now. Things are working out great so far!!
#3. I booked a cruise with my good friend Joni to Mexico. It is an 7 day LDS singles cruise in July. We have ports in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puetro Vallarta.
#4. Counting the days until I get to go visit my friend Amy in St. Louis. I am super excited to get out of town and explore a new city, and of coarse spend time with Ames.

#5. I have been spending much of my time watching the LOST dvds. I'm addicted. Such a good show! I have just started season #2 and I am hooked. My mom, dad, and bryan are hooked as well so its fun to talk about.

#6. Saw taken with my new friend Sally and some of her friends. It was such a good movie.
#7. Battled a cold.
#8. Went to Stansbury to hang out with my sister and her family. It was a lot of fun. I love spending time with them. I am lucky to have such an awesome sister, funny bro-in- law and 3 sweet nieces and nephew. We watched the kids play at the park, got icees, and played Ticket to Ride.
#9. Went to dinner with my COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) class. It has been almost 3 years since we graduated. I feel so lucky to do something I love!!
#10. Voted for Savannah. Savannah is my BFF's daughter. Help her out! :)
Voting ends April 2nd at 12:00 pm. So, please when you have a chance head on over to...HERE!!
There is only one vote per ip address...we need all the help we can get.
She is contestant #20, and in the 2-4 year old group!
The winner will be announced live on the Morning Zoo April 3rd.
