Bear Lake 2008

We go to Bear Lake as a family usually on an annual basis. It is one of my favorite places on earth. It was an awesome trip, relaxing and really fun. Some of the things we did were: jet ski, boat, I attempted to wake board (Bryan did wake board), Canoed, swam in the lake, swam in the pool, hung out in the hot tub, went out to dinner for pizza, had a famous raspberry Bear Lake Shake, went to the Bear Lake Dance Club (it was high school, top 40 night-- I was 6 years older than everyone else, haha), Drove to Montpelier Idaho (for Internet and baby snacks), bought scratch cards (didn't win!), mini golf, ti-dyed Bear Lake Tee Shirts, watched fire works on the beach on the 24th of July, helped my nieces build sand castles, Frisbee, watched the sunset, played Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, and cards, had a BBQ, ate an ice cream cone and just hung out with the family.

Memories of me

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

San Diego Zoo, Coronado, and The SD Temple

Joni and I ended up staying in El Cajon in a smoky Motel 6. Because it was the weekend of the 4th everything was sold out- or very expensive. The room smelled horrible, but luckily I was able to get used to it after a little bit. We both slept on a Queen bed- but seemed more like a full, and Niko joined us. Never the less saying the sleep was bad, and the pillows were horrible. What can you except though?

We went to the San Diego Zoo. My favorites were the Pandas, (who we just saw from the bus, the line was super long) Polar bears, Elephants, Flamingos, Zebras and Gorillas.

After the Zoo we took a Ferry to Coronado.

View on the freeway to Downtown San Diego.

We parked next to this old Naval ship. It was huge!

Beach on Coronado

We ended the night with a drive to the San Diego Temple. We took the 805, instead of the 5, so it took us awhile.

Dog Beach and Tijana

When we got to San Diego, we started off the day by going to Dog Beach. It is right next to Ocean Beach and allows dogs. It was in the high 70's and very overcast. We spent most of the time at the beach playing with Niko in the ocean.

Joni and I thought this was such an adorable dog! I want one!

After the beach Joni and I took a bus over the border to Tijana.

We don't have any pictures of us, because we  didn't see anyone that we trusted to take our photo together.

This is Joni as we were waiting for the bus back to the US. We went on the 4th of July to Mexico, and made us especially happy to be Americans!

Fireworks

Joni and I met up Shannyn, Debbie and Cody from the YSA and we went and watched the fireworks. The have the fireworks on the 3rd of July (I'm not sure why) on the Indian Reservation at Paradise Casino, I think that it is illegal to do fireworks in Arizona. We had alot of fun!! After we left in the distance we saw a huge fire! Kinda scary!

We forgot a camara! Here's a couple pictures I took with my phone.

Shannyn- She is part Indian, and every time we saw an indian she said "Hey there are the relatives!" and "Those Indian's sure know how to throw a party"! She was making me laugh!
